New Permanent Representative of Viet Nam presents credentials

VIENNA, 10 January (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the United Nations (Vienna), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Le Dung, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career Mr. Le has served in various capacities, among them:

Director General, Department of Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2013-2017); Consul General in Houston, United States (2009-2013); Director General, Department of Information and Press (2003-2009); Deputy Director General, Department of Information and Press (1999-2003); First Secretary, Embassy in the United States (1996-1999); Desk Officer, Department of Information and Press (1986-89 and 1992-1996); Attaché, Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York (1989-1992).

Mr. Le holds a B.A. in International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy in Viet Nam, and has received additional training in Advanced Political Theory and Advanced Public Administration.

Mr. Le speaks Vietnamese and English.

He is married and has two children.
