New Permanent Representative of Argentina presents credentials

VIENNA, 1 February (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Argentina to the United Nations Office at Vienna, Holger Federico Martinsen, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.

During his career, Mr. Martinsen has served in various positions, among them:

Legal Adviser, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship (2020-present); Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization and Consul General in the United Kingdom (2015-2020); Deputy Director General, Office of the Legal Advisor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship (2009-2015); Alternate Representative of the Ministry to the Federal Fisheries Council, (2003-2015); Legal Officer, Office of the Legal Advisor, Ministry of Foreign affairs and Worship (2001-2006); and worked in the Office of the Special Representative for the South Atlantic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship (2001); the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the United Nations (1995-2001); the Arbitration Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship (1991-1995) and the Office of the Legal Advisor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship (1989-1991).

Mr. Martinsen holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires.

Mr. Martinsen is married and has three children.
