Italian journalist/photographer Alessandro Scotti will present real-life photos of law enforcement activities, treatment and rehabilitation facilities, drug abuse and trafficking, local drug markets and major drug related problems, such as trafficking in human beings, HIV/AIDS and other diseases as a consequence of drug abuse, smuggling in fire arms, forced labor, women and children abuse, drug abuse in prisons in Central Asia and Colombia. Mr. Scotti’s black and white photographs can be linked to the tradition of photo-reportage and its informative value. Due to their dramatic effectiveness the photos maintain a strong link with reality. The event will take place during the 47th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND).
