UNIS Vienna hosted an outreach meeting/lunch with representatives of Civil Society/NGO partners at the Vienna International Centre on Monday 2 April, to consolidate existing partnerships and to facilitate new ones.
In her welcoming speech UNIS Director, Ms. Nasra Hassan referred to the 2007 communications priorities and emphasized that the mandate of all CSO/NGO were covered. She thanked the participants for their continued support and called for greater participation in UN events and attention to UN issues. UNIS pointed out the need to encourage, involve and mobilize the younger generations in civil society and UN issues and announced upcoming events such as the
Global Forum on Building Trust in Government in Vienna 25-29 June 2007.
