On the occasion of the International Heliphysical Year 2007, the exhibition will present international and national programmes on the global observation campaign of the interaction between the Sun and the Earth. The worldwide celebration of the International Heliophysical Year 2007 is dedicated to commemorations of the International Geophysical Year, which in 1957 set a milestone in the beginning of space exploration and the United Nations interest in outer space.
A one-day symposium on the International Heliophysical Year 2007 will be hosted by the Austrian Academy of Sciences at their premises in Vienna on 20 February 2007.
