VIENNA, 8 March - The Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Drug Control and Crime Prevention (ODCCP), Mr. Pino Arlacchi, has appointed Ms. Letizia Moratti as United Nations International Drug Control Programme (UNDCP)  “Civic Ambassador to Italy” for the year 2000, at a ceremony held here on 8 March 2000.

It is together with personalities such as Letizia Moratti,  that UNDCP desires to win the common battle against drugs and the suffering of many,” stressed Pino Arlacchi at today’s ceremony.
