UNITED NATIONS STAFF ORGANIZE SILENT MARCHES
IN MEMORY OF COLLEAGUES KILLED IN BAGHDAD
NEW YORK, 25 August (UN Headquarters) -- All United Nations duty stations around the world are organizing silent marches to be held on the same day -- 26 August -- in memory of their colleagues and friends who were killed and injured in the attack on the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad on 19 August.
In New York, the silent march will take place tomorrow morning in the Secretariat Circle at 11:30 a.m.
In Geneva, the march will leave at noon local time from the Pregny Gate, will proceed to the Place des Nations and return to the Pregny Gate.
