CHAIR OF SECURITY COUNCIL IRAQ SANCTIONS COMMITTEE SAYS PROCEDURES CONCERNING FLIGHTS TO IRAQ

NEW YORK, 28 May (UN Headquarters) -- The Chairman of the Security Council Committee established by resolution 661 (1990) concerning the situation between Iraq and Kuwait wishes to make the following statement concerning flights to Iraq:
With the adoption of Security Council resolution 1483 (2003), the existing procedures followed by the 661 Committee with regard to flights to Iraq are no longer valid. Communications in this regard should be addressed to the authorities concerned (reference Web site: www.centaf.af.mil/ramcc/).
