CHAIRMAN OF MILITARY STAFF COMMITTEE IN AUGUST
NEW YORK, 31 July (UN Headquarters) -- In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for August:
Security Council
Mikhail Wehbe, Permanent Representative of Syria, succeeds Inocencio F. Arias, Permanent Representative of Spain, as President of the Security Council.
Military Staff Committee
Rear Admiral Anthony Dymock (United Kingdom) succeeds Lieutenant General Nikolay M. Uvarov (Russian Federation) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
