SECRETARY-GENERAL STRONGLY CONDEMNS
RIYADH TERRORIST ATTACK
NEW YORK, 10 November (UN Headquarters) -- Following is a statement issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary-General Kofi Annan:
The Secretary-General is horrified by last night's attack against a residential compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that reportedly killed at least 10 innocent people and injured many others. He condemns this terrorist act in the strongest possible terms.
The Secretary-General conveys his heartfelt condolences to the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the families of the victims. He is confident that the authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will bring to justice the perpetrators of this cowardly attack.
