President of United Nations Security Council and Chairman of Military Staff Committee in February

NEW YORK, 30 January (UN Headquarters) -- In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for February:

Security Council

Wang Guangya, Permanent Representative of China, succeeds Heraldo Muñoz, Permanent Representative of Chile, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Lieutenant General Walter L. Sharp (United States) succeeds Rear Admiral Anthony K. Dymock (United Kingdom) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
