New Permanent Representative of Tunisia Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 1 July (UN Information Service) – The New Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Mohamed Daouas, presented his credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General of UNOV.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Daouas served as the Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia.

Mr. Daouas had held several posts in the course of his professional career. Between 1995 and 1996, he served as consultant of the President of the Tunisian Republic, and from 1994 to 1995, as Attaché to the Presidency of the Republic. In 1993, Mr. Daouas also held the post of senior lecturer at the University of Tunis III.

Mr. Daouas holds a PhD in Finance from Laval University in Canada and a postgraduate diploma in Management from the High Institute of Management of Tunis (ISG).

He is married and has two children.
