Budget Committee Elects Vice-Chairman; Will Take up Capital Master Plan in September
NEW YORK, 29 July (UN Headquarters) -- Continuing its resumed session, the Fifth Committee (Administrative and Budgetary) today elected Eric Franck Saizonou (Benin) as the fourth Vice-Chairman for the sixtieth General Assembly session.
Following the election, Committee Vice-Chairman Karla Samayoa-Recari of Guatemala announced that the Committee would take up consideration of the Capital Master Plan early in September.
The Committee bureau also consists of Don MacKay (New Zealand), Chairman; Karen Lock (South Africa) and Mohammad Najib Eljy (Syria)), Vice-Chairmen; and Denisa Hutanova (Slovakia), Rapporteur.
The Committee will meet again at a time and date to be announced.
