President of United Nations Security Council and Chairman of Military Staff Committee in February

NEW YORK, 31 January (UN Headquarters) -- In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for February:

Security Council

Joel W. Adechi, Permanent Representative of Benin, succeeds César Mayoral, Permanent Representative of Argentina, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Major General Pascal Vinchon (France) succeeds Senior Colonel Mu Changlin of China as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
