President of United Nations Security Council and Chairman of Military Staff Committee in May

NEW YORK, 2 May (UN Headquarters) -- In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for May:

Security Council

Ellen Margrethe Løj, Permanent Representative of Denmark, succeeds Wang Guangya, Permanent Representative of China, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Lieutenant General Walter L. Sharp (United States) succeeds Rear Admiral Anthony K. Dymock (United Kingdom) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
