New Permanent Representative of Monaco Presents Credentials
VIENNA, 5 May (UN Information Service) -- The new Permanent Representative of Monaco to the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Claude Giordan, today presented his credentials to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, UNOV.
Mr. Giordan is also concurrently serving as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Germany, and will be based in Berlin.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Giordan was serving as Secretary General of Foreign Affairs in Monaco (2001-05).
Mr. Giordan has served in many capacities in the course of his career including as: First Advisor, Monegasque Embassy in France (1995-2001); Public Lands Administrator, Department of Finance and the Economy (1990-95); Official Representative at the Department of Finance and the Economy (1982-90); and Deputy Public Lands Administrator (Department of Finance and the Economy).
Mr. Giordan completed his Masters degree in Law and a post-graduate degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Law and Economics in Nice. He is married and has two children.
