New Permanent Observer for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Presents Credentials
VIENNA, 12 July (UN Information Service) -- The new Permanent Observer for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to the United Nations (Vienna), Johannes Guger presented his credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV).
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Guger was serving as Head of International Relations and Tracing, Austrian Red Cross, since July 2002.
Mr. Guger has served in a variety of positions in the course of his career including as Assistant to the Secretary General, Austrian Red Cross (Feb. 2000 – Jun. 02) and as a consultant in the private sector.
Mr. Guger holds a Masters degree in International Relations and International Politics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
