New Permanent Representative of New Zealand Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 25 August (UN Information Service) -- The new Permanent Representative of New Zealand to the United Nations (Vienna), Jennifer Macmillan, presented her credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV).

Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Macmillan was serving as Deputy Director, Environment Division, New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Ms. Macmillan has served in many capacities in the course of her career, including as Private Secretary to the Minister of Disarmament and Arms Control and Associate Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2004-05), Counsellor, Permanent Mission of New Zealand to the United Nations, Geneva (2000-04), and Business Communications Coordinator, Office of the Chief Executive, New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (1998-99).

Ms. Macmillan studied at Otago University and holds a degree in History.
