New Permanent Representative of El Salvador Presents Credentials 

VIENNA, 9 May (UN Information Service) -- The new Permanent Representative of El Salvador to the United Nations (Vienna), Vanessa Eugenia Interiano Tobar, presented her credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV).

Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Interiano Tobar was serving as Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the United Nations, New York (since 2005).

Ms. Interiano Tobar has served in many capacities in the course of her career, including as: Counsellor, Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the United Nations, New York (2003 - 05), Counsellor and Chargée of Consular Affairs at the Embassy of El Salvador to France, Portugal and Monaco (2000 - 02), Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (1998 - 2000), and Expert, Presidential Commission for the Modernization of the Public Sector (1997 - 98).

Ms. Interiano Tobar holds a Master's degree in Diplomatic Studies from the Diplomatic Academy of London, University of Westminster, United Kingdom, a degree in Public Relations and Advertising from the University Leonardo Da Vinci, El Salvador, and has pursued specialized studies in Diplomacy and European Studies at the International Institute of Public Administration, Paris, France.
