New Permanent Representative of Andorra Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 14 June (UN Information Service) -- The new Permanent Representative of Andorra to the United Nations (Vienna), Joan Pujal Laborda, presented his credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV).

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Pujal Laborda was serving as Resident Ambassador and Head of the Permanent Mission of the Principality of Andorra to the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Austria (since 2006).

Mr. Pujal Laborda has served in many capacities in the course of his career, including as: Chairman of the Forum for Security and Cooperation (FSC) in the OSCE during the FSC Andorran Chairmanship (2004), Non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of San Marino (2001 - 2003), Non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Austria (1999 - 2001) and Non-resident Ambassador and Head of the Permanent Mission of the Principality of Andorra to the OSCE in Vienna (1997 - 1999).

Mr. Pujal Laborda holds a Technical Diploma in Advertising from Centro Español de Nuevas Profesiones, Madrid, Spain and a Diploma of Specialized Higher Studies from Instituto Superior de Diseño, Barcelona, Spain. Mr. Pujal Laborda is married.
