New Permanent Representative of Jordan Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 30 November (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Jordan to the United Nations (Vienna), Makram Mustafa Queisi, presented his credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV).

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Queisi was serving as Director, Protocol Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amman, Jordan (since 2005).

Mr. Queisi has served in many capacities in the course of his career, including as: Coordinator for the World Economic Forum, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amman, Jordan (2005), Adjunct Lecturer, Institute of Diplomacy, Amman, Jordan (since 2004), Assistant Chief of Royal Protocol, Royal Hashemite Court, Amman, Jordan (1996 - 2005), Director, Office of HRH Prince Abdullah Bin
Al Hussein, Royal Hashemite Court (1994 - 96), Coordination and Media Officer, Office of the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court (1993 - 94).

Mr. Queisi holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Jordan, Amman and a Master's degree in Diplomatic Studies from the Westminster University, United Kingdom. He is married and has three children.
