New Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan Presents Credentials
VIENNA, 2 July (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the United Nations (Vienna), Lydia Imanalieva, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Antonio Maria Costa.
Ms. Imanalieva is also serving as Permanent Representative to other international organizations in Vienna and as Ambassador to Austria, posts which she assumed this year.
Ms. Imanalieva has served in many capacities in the course of her career, among them: Ambassador to Belarus (2005-09), Deputy Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2002-05), First Deputy Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2001-02), Director, Community of Independent States Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1999-2001), Counsellor, Embassy to Belarus (1997-99), and Deputy Head of Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1992-1997).
Ms. Imanalieva holds a degree in Philology from Rostov-na Donu State University, Russian Federation.
