New Permanent Representative of India Presents Credentials
VIENNA, 16 December (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of India, Dinkar Khullar, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Antonio Maria Costa.
Mr. Khullar is also serving as Ambassador to Austria.
Mr. Khullar has served in many capacities in the course of his career, among them: Joint Secretary/Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs (since 2006), Ambassador in Sofia, Bulgaria (2003-06), Ambassador in Baku, Azerbaijan (1999-2003), Counsellor/Minister, Embassy in Seoul, Republic of Korea (1995-99), Officer on special duty, Ministry of External Affairs, and Director, Prime Minister's Office (1992-95), Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Commerce (1989-92), First Secretary, Embassy in Rome, Italy (1985-89), Under Secretary, Ministry of Finance (1984-85), Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs (1982-84) and Third/Second Secretary, Embassy in Moscow, USSR (1980-82).
Mr. Khullar holds a Master's degree in Economics.
He is married with a son.
