New Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan Presents Credentials
VIENNA, 2 February (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan, Ravshanbek B. Duschanov, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Antonio Maria Costa.
Mr. Duschanov is also serving as Chargé d'Affaires in Austria, Hungary and Slovakia; Head, Delegation to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and Permanent Representative to the international organizations in Vienna, posts which he assumed in 2009.
Mr. Duschanov has served in many capacities in the course of his career, among them: Head, Department for Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2008-9), Head, Department for Human Resources and Educational Institutions, Ministry of Foreign Affaires (2007-8), Second Secretary then Chief of Division, Department for Human Resources and Educational Institutions, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-7), Attaché then Third Secretary, Embassy in France and Permanent Delegation to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) (2001-05), and Attaché then Third Secretary, Department for Human Resources and Educational Institutions, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1997-2001).
Mr. Duschanov holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Tashkent State University of Economics and a degree from the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Tashkent.
He is married with two children.
