New Permanent Representative of Denmark
Presents Credentials
VIENNA, 16 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Denmark, H.E. Torben Brylle, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
Mr. Brylle is also serving as Ambassador to the Republic of Austria.
Mr. Brylle has served in various capacities in the course of his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among them: EU Special Representative for Sudan (2007-2010); Ambassador of Denmark to the Republic of South Africa (2001-2007); Under-Secretary for Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1997-2001); Director of Ministers' Cabinet (Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation) (1994-1997); Head of Department (Southern Africa), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1991-1994); Deputy Head of Department (Policy and Planning), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1989-1991); Secretary to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (1987-1989); Deputy Head of Department (Development), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1986-1987); First Secretary/Counselor, Royal Danish Embassy, Paris (1983-1986).
Mr. Brylle graduated from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 1977 with a Master's degree in Political Science and studied Economics and African Development in Legon, Ghana.
Mr. Brylle was born in 1948 in Copenhagen.
