New Permanent Representative of Nicaragua
Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 15 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Nicaragua, Alvaro José Robelo Gonzalez, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career, Mr. Robelo Gonzales was President of Banco Europeo de Centro America (BECA) (1993 - 1996) and President of West Chase Inc. (1994 - 1996). He has served as Ambassador of Nicaragua to Italy, Greece, Yugoslavia and Romania (1990 - 1994) and Permanent Representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Food Programme (WFP) (1990 -1994). He worked as consultant, manager and financial analyst from 1977 to 1989.
Mr. Robelo Gonzales holds a Doctorate in Law, a Masters degree in Mass Media Communication and a Masters in Economy and Business Administration from the University of Rome. He speaks Spanish, Italian, French and English. He is married.
