New Permanent Representative of Tunisia
Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 16 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tunisia, Mohamed Samir Koubaa, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
Mr. Koubaa is also Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Austria as of August 2011. During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Koubaa served in various capacities, among them: Chargé d'Affaires, Minister Plenipotentiary, Permanent Mission of Tunisia to the United Nations Office and International Organizations in Geneva (2011); Deputy Permanent Representative, Minister Plenipotentiary, Permanent Mission of Tunisia to the United Nations Office and International Organizations in Geneva (2009 - 2010); Director, International Economic Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006 - 2009); Deputy Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of Tunisia to the United Nations in New York (2003 - 2006); Deputy Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1997 - 2000).
Mr. Koubaa graduated in Economics from the Ecole Nationale d'Administration and he also studied at the Institut de Défense Nationale. He speaks English, Arabic and French and is married with two children.
