New Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation
Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 14 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Ivanovich Voronkov, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Voronkov served in various capacities, among them: Director of the Department of European Cooperation (2008 - 2011); Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE in Vienna, Austria (2005 - 2008); Deputy Director of the Personnel Department (2002 - 2005); Minister Counsellor (Deputy Chief of Mission) of the Russian Embassy to Poland (2000 - 2002).

Mr. Voronkov holds a Master's degree in history. He speaks English and Polish and is married with one daughter.
