New Permanent Representative of Angola
Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 11 October (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Angola, Maria de Jesus dos Reis Ferreira, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During her career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ms. de Jesus dos Reis Ferreira served in various capacities, among them: Consul General in Porto, for Central and Northern Portugal (2004); Directress for Africa and Middle East (2002-2004); (Minister Counsellor) Directress for Africa and Far East (2000-2002); Counsellor of the Division for International Organizations as well as Chief of Dept. a.i. for specialized agencies of the UN (1994-2000); First Secretary at the Embassy in Zimbabwe (1990-1994) and Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission to the International Organizations in New York (1986 - 1989).

Ms. de Jesus dos Reis Ferreira holds a Master's degree in Law from the Catholic University of Porto and a Degree of Licentiate in Legal-Economics Law from the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technology of Lisbon. She speaks English, French and Spanish.
