New Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso
Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 26 March (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso, Paul Robert Tiendrébéogo, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he has served in various capacities, among them: Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of Burkina Faso to the United Nations, New York (2008-2011); Ambassador and Diplomatic Adviser to the President of Burkina Faso (2007-2008); Director of the Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Burkina Faso (2003-2007); Counsellor, Department of Research and Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Burkina Faso (2002-2003); Technical Advisor to the Minister, Ministry of Regional Integration, Burkina Faso (2001-2002); Director of the Europe Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation, Burkina Faso (2000-2001); Counsellor, Permanent Mission of Burkina Faso to the United Nations, New York (1995-2000); Counsellor and later Head, Directorate of Legal and Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Burkina Faso (1993-1995) and Counsellor to the Department of Political Affairs/UN Desk, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Burkina Faso (1990-1993). Mr. Tiendrébéogo is the founder of the Consulting Firm Multi-Conseils-Associés (1989-1990).
Mr. Tiendrébéogo holds a Diploma in Diplomatic Studies from the Institut de Relations Internationales du Cameroun, a Diploma in Advanced Public International Law from the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales of Geneva in Switzerland and a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. He speaks English and French.
