VIENNA, 24 June (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Mauritius to the United Nations (Vienna), Israhyananda Dhalladoo, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mauritius, Mr. Dhalladoo has served in various capacities, among them:
Chief of Protocol (2012-2013); Head of Bilateral Directorate Africa (2009-2011); Deputy Permanent Representative, Mission to the United Nations, New York (2006-2009); Chargés d'affaires, Mission to the United Nations, New York (2006); Head of Multilateral Directorate and Research Policy Unit (2004-2006); First Secretary, Bilateral Directorate Europe & the Americas (2003-2004); Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy Berlin (2002-2003); Chargés d'affaires, Embassy Berlin (2000-2001); First Secretary, Bilateral Directorate Africa and Asia (1997-2000); Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy Washington DC (1994-1997); Deputy Permanent Representative, Mission to the United Nations, New York (1992-1994).
Mr. Dhalladoo holds a B.A. in English from Delhi University. He speaks English, French and Creole.
He is married and has three children.
