New Permanent Representative of Argentina Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 17 July (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Argentina to the United Nations (Vienna), Rafael Mariano Grossi, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career in Foreign Affairs, Mr. Grossi has served in various capacities, among them:

Assistant Director General for Policy and Chief of Cabinet, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna (2011-2013); Chief of Cabinet, Office of the Director General, IAEA(2010-2011);Special Adviser on Nuclear Affairs, Strategic Planning Committee, Ministry of Federal Planning and Investments (2007-2009); Director-General for Political Coordination, Private Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2008-2009); Special Adviser, National Commission of Space Activities (CONAE) (2007-2009); Chief of Cabinet, Office of the Director-General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), The Hague (2002-2007); Chief of the Chancellery, Embassy Belgium/Luxembourg (1998-2002); Representative of Argentina to NATO, Brussels (1998-2001).

Mr. Grossi holds a Ph.D. in International Relations, International History and Politics, an M.A. in International Relations and a B.A. in Political Science.
