VIENNA, 5 August (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations (Vienna), Vladimír Galuška, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Mr. Galuška has served in various capacities, among them:
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (2010-2013); Director General, Consular Section (2009-2010); Ambassador, Embassy in Bratislava, Slovak Republic (2004-2009); Director General, Section of Bilateral Relations (2002-2004); Director, Department of American States (2001-2002); Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations (1997-2001).
Mr. Galuška holds a Juris Doctor Degree (PhD) from Charles University in Prague.
He is married and has two children.
