VIENNA, 19 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations (Vienna), U Soe Nwe, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career, Mr. Nwe has held various positions, among them:
Ambassador to Germany (2012-present) and Ambassador to Serbia (2006 - 2012).
During his career with the Defence Services (1974-2006), Mr. Nwe has served in various capacities, up to the rank of Brigadier General.
Mr. Nwe holds a Masters Degree in Defence Studies and a Bachelors of Science Degree.
He is married and has one daughter and two sons.
