VIENNA, 23 October (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations (Vienna), Ali Khalfan Al-Mansouri, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
Mr. Al-Mansouri is also serving as Ambassador to Austria and as Permanent Representative of Qatar to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).
During his career, Mr. Al-Mansouri has served in various capacities, among them:
Representative of Qatar to Austria (2007-2012); Chargé d'Affaires, Embassy of Qatar to Bangladesh (2003-2007); Second Secretary, Administrative Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2000-2003); Third Secretary at the Embassy of Qatar to Saudi Arabia (1992-1998); Attaché, Administrative Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1989-1992).
Mr. Al-Mansouri holds a degree from the Administration Institute in Doha.
Mr. Al-Mansouri is married and has three children.
