VIENNA, 6 February 2013 (UN Information Service) - Academy Award winning actress Mira Sorvino will pay a visit to the Vienna International Centre on Friday 8 February 2013.
Mira Sorvino has been a UN Goodwill Ambassador to Combat Human Trafficking for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) since February 2009. As a UN Goodwill Ambassador, Ms. Sorvino has been very active in promoting the plight of victims of human trafficking. She is paying a visit to the Vienna International Centre to extend her appointment as a UN Goodwill Ambassador and to attend briefings with UNODC staff.
Mira Sorvino will be welcomed by UNODC's Executive Director Yury Fedotov at a photo opportunity at 12:20 in the Rotunda of the Vienna International Centre.
