2. Public Panel Discussion with women astronauts and cosmonauts, 13 June 7-9 pm, Natural History Museum Vienna, Entrance Hall

Speakers: Valentina Tereshkova (Russian Federation), Roberta Bondar (Canada), Janet L. Kavandi (USA), Chiaki Mukai  (Japan), Helen Sharman (UK) (TBC), Liu Yang (China).

The Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) marks the 50 th anniversary of women in space in June 2013. Valentina Tereshkova of the Russian Federation was the first woman to fly into outer space on 16 June 1963, and will be joining the celebrations in Vienna. Space Tours will be available at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) between 12 and 21 June daily at 12.30 and 3.30 pm. The UN Postal Administration issues special stamps on the subject that will be presented at the Rotunda of the VIC, which will also host a space exhibit.
