The Secretary-General will leave Lithuania on Monday, 18 November, for Krakow, Poland.
On Monday, 18 November, the Secretary-General will visit Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former Nazi concentration camp, to pay tribute to the victims of the Holocaust and to stress the importance of the UN's work for genocide prevention, tolerance and peace.
Media representatives are invited to cover the Secretary-General's visit to Camp Auschwitz I and II from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Accredited media will be informed about the detailed schedule.
Transportation: Free shuttle service will be available for media representatives at the bus parking lot across from the Sheraton Hotel in Krakow (Address: Powiśle 7, Krakow, Poland). The bus will depart at 11:30 a.m. sharp. Those who wish to come directly, please arrive at Auschwitz-Birkenau by 1:00 p.m.
