ENSENADA/MEXICO 20 October (UN Information Service) - Media are invited to a press conference, held during the United Nations/Mexico Symposium on "Making Space Technology Accessible and Affordable", hosted by the Centre for Scientific Research and Higher Education (CICESE) and the Mexican Space Agency (AEM) on behalf of the Government of Mexico.

The Symposium, organized under the Basic Space Technology Initiative (BSTI) of the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) will bring together more than 150 international space technology experts to discuss capacity building in basic space technology development, in particular the development of small satellites, with a focus on activities in the Latin America and the Caribbean region.
