VIENNA, 15 July (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations (Vienna), Sanjin Halimović, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career, Mr. Halimović has served in various capacities, among them:
Minister at the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Craft of Bosnia and Herzegovina (2011-2015); Lecturer at Sarajevo University (2014-2015); Lecturer (2007-2014) and Docent Doctor (2007, 2009) at the Bihać University; Mayor of Sanski Most (2004-2011); Director and Manager of the Veterinary Station of Sanski Most (2001-2004); Teacher at the Veterinarian High School of Sanski Most (1999-2001).
Mr. Halimović holds a Doctor's degree in Veterinary Science (2007) as well as a Master's degree from the University of Sarajevo (2001). He studied Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sarajevo and also attended the Technical University in Dresden, Germany.
He speaks German and English.
Mr. Halimović is married and has two children.
