New Permanent Representative of the Republic of Panama presents credentials

VIENNA, 24 November (UN Information Service) - The Permanent Representative of Republic of Panama to the United Nations (Vienna), Paulina Maria Franceschi Navarro, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During her career, Ms. Franceschi Navarro has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative, Mission of Panama to the United Nations in New York (2014-2015); Vice-Chancellor of the Santa Maria La Antigua University (2012-2014); Advisor to the Rector's Office at the Santa Maria La Antigua University (2012); Senior Advisor to the United Nations Development Programme (2012); National Coordinator of the National Human Development Report of Panama at the United Nations Development Programme (2001-2012); Vice-Chancellor for Graduate Studies and Research at the Santa Maria La Antigua University (1997-2000); Director of Research at the Santa Maria La Antigua University (1994-1997); Teaching and Research Staff at the University of Panama (1986-1993).

Ms. Franceschi Navarro holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Microbiology from the University of Notre Dame, United States.

Ms. Franceschi Navarro speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Ms. Franceschi Navarro has two children.
