VIENNA, 9 September (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) - Coordinated efforts to prevent, detect and respond to foodborne diseases, and the benefits of safe food for social inclusiveness, sustainability and industrial development will be on the agenda of an international forum taking place in Vienna on 11 September.
The event is being organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA).
UNIDO Director General LI Yong; the Minister of Health of Austria, Sabine Oberhauser; and the Minister of CFDA, BI Jingquan, will deliver opening speeches.
Participants will also take part in a field trip to the Milchhof Steiner farm located around 60 km south of Vienna.
Journalists are invited to cover the event, which opens at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, 11 September, at the Vienna International Centre, Conference Room C1 (C Building, 2nd floor).
