New Permanent Representative of Gabon presents credentials

VIENNA, 11 February (UN Information Service) - The Permanent Representative of Gabon to the United Nations (Vienna), Marianne Odette Bibalou Bounda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During her career, Ms. Bibalou Bounda has served in various capacities, among them:

Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Geneva (2015-2016); Chargé d'affaires a.i. to the United Nations, New York (2014-2015), Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, New York (2009-2015); Deputy Permanent Representative to the World Tourism Organization (WHO), Madrid (2005-2009); Deputy Chief of Cabinet to the President of the fifty-ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly, New York (2004-2005); First Counsellor, Embassy in Spain (2000-2004); First Counsellor, Embassy in Egypt (1994-2000); Chargé d'affaires a.i., Embassy in Egypt (1995);

Ms. Bibalou Bounda has a diploma in International Relations from the Diplomatic School of Madrid, a diploma from the National Administration School in Gabon, as well as a Master's degree in English and Spanish from the Omar Bongo University in Gabon.

She speaks French, English and Spanish.
