New Permanent Representative of Mexico presents credentials

VIENNA, 25 May (UN Information Service) - The Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations (Vienna), Ms. Alicia Guadalupe Buenrostro Massieu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During her career Ms. Buenrostro Massieu has served in various capacities, among them:

Consul General of Mexico in Hong Kong SAR, China, and Macao SAR, China (2011-2016); Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassies of Mexico in Madrid, Washington D.C. and London; Marketing Director at the Mexico Tourism Board in Vancouver, Canada (2004-2005); Foreign Press Spokesperson to the President of Mexico (2000-2003); Adviser to the Deputy Foreign Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico (1991-1992); Deputy Director General at the Department for Africa and the Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico.

Ms. Buenrostro Massieu holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Iberoamerica University, Mexico City, and a Master's degree in Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
