VIENNA, 20 October (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of El Salvador to the United Nations (Vienna), Lucía Rosella Magdalena Badía de Funes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
Ms. Badía de Funes is Ambassador at the Embassy of El Salvador and the Permanent Mission to the United Nations and International Organizations, Vienna. Prior to this she has served in various capacities, among them:
Minister Counselor for Multilateral and Economic Affairs and Alternate Representative to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), International Sugar Organization (ISO), and International Maritime Organization (IMO), London (2011-2016); Technical Adviser for Bilateral Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2008-2011).
Ms. Badía de Funes holds a B.A. in International Affairs from Universidad de El Salvador, and is currently completing an MA in International Law, Human Rights and Cooperation at Instituto Europeo Campus Stellae (Spain).
