The Austrian Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, the European Commission and UNEP Europe invite media representatives to attend the final event of the 2016 edition of the European Commission's Green Week, titled "Sustainable Development Goals for a Green Future: Investing For Future Generations".

The conference aims to foster dialogue between high-ranking policymakers and European youth representatives about the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Speakers include Karmenu Vella, EU Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Andrä Rupprechter, Austrian Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, Alan AtKisson, President of AtKisson Group and Founder of the 17 Goals Campaign, and Brenda King, President of the Sustainable Development Observatory (SDO), European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).

Accreditation: Media representatives who wish to attend the conference and the photo opportunity and who are not accredited to the VIC should write to press@unvienna.org before Thursday, 2 June, 12 noon.

The photo opportunity will take place on Friday,3 June 2016, from 12.15pm - 12.45pm.

Journalists just coming to the tree planting photo opportunity should meet at Gate 1, 11.45am.
