who will take questions from journalists on refugee-related matters

Martin Nesirky, Director, UN Information Service (UNIS) Vienna, who will give an overview of the high-level events during the forthcoming 71 st session of the UN General Assembly

The UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants will take place on 19 September 2016. It is the first time that world leaders are coming together at the United Nations to address both issues of refugees and migrants. It is an historic opportunity for the world to agree on a better response to large movements of refugees and migrants at a time when we are witnessing an unprecedented level of human mobility.
