VIENNA, 15 June (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations (Vienna), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary,Victor Osipov, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career Mr. Osipov has served in various capacities, among them:
Independent expert in politics, electoral and public administration (2016-2017); Deputy Prime Minister (for Country Reintegration) in two consecutive cabinets of the Government (2015-2016); Political Expert at the Crises Management Initiative (CMI) Programme for Transnistrian Conflict Management (2013-2014); Independent expert in politics, electoral and public administration (2011-2014); Deputy Prime Minister for Country Reintegration in the Government (2009-2011); Advisor of the First Deputy Chairman in the Parliament (September 2009); Member of Parliament, XVII legislature (April-August 2009); Staff, Senior Advisor of the parliamentary faction ''Our Moldova Alliance'' (2005-2009); Executive Director, Electronic Press Association APEL NGO (2001-2004); Executive Director, Euro TV Chisinau (2000-2003); Executive Director, ''Radio d'Or'' FM station, Open World House NGO (1996-2000); Reporter, Editor, Commentator and Chief of Romanian Section at Radio Moldova International (1992-1995).
Mr. Osipov speaks Romanian, Russian, English and French.
Mr. Osipov is married and has three children.
