VIENNA, 28 August (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the United Nations (Vienna), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Marc Ungeheuer, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career Mr. Ungeheuer has served in various capacities, among them:
Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2014); Ambassador of Luxembourg to Japan (2013); Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Singapore (2011-2013); Ambassador of Luxembourg to Thailand (2007-2010), with co-accreditations as non-resident Ambassador to Vietnam, Singapore, Laos, Malaysia, ASEAN (2008) and Indonesia (2009); Ambassador of Luxembourg to China (2002), non-resident Ambassador to Vietnam, Mongolia, Singapore (2003) and Laos (2005); Deputy Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the European Union, Brussels, Belgium (1998); Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the European Union, Brussels, Belgium (1990).
He holds a Diploma in International Relations from Institute d' Etudes Politiques, Paris, France, and a Master in European Law as well a Master in Business Law from the University of Paris 1 Sorbonne, France.
Mr. Ungeheuer is married and has three children.
