New Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabiapresents credentials

VIENNA, 6 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations (Vienna), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Khalid Ibrahim Jindan, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career, Mr. Jindan has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador to Austria (since 2016); Member of Shura (Consultative) Council by Royal Decree (2016); Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations with Excellence Rank by Royal Decree (since 2012); Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations (2008); Head of the General Department of Western Countries Affairs (1995-2008).

Mr. Jindan holds a B.A. in Political Science and a M.A. in International Relations from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon as well as a PhD in Political Philosophy from Georgetown University, Washington D.C., United States.

Mr. Jindan is married and has six children.
